British Waterways have put up another 'no dumping' sign and they said that after they have cleared the rubbish and rubble that has been dumped they would pursue and prosecute further offenders. They have put some seats along the side of the towpath.

This year we had our 'spring clean' from the path to Banavie Station.

We bought a strimmer, visor and harness for cutting down the scrub, and two string trimmers that were very effective for mowing the undergrowth - this has been done along with Phase 1 of this project.

We got a grant from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation to buy tools, plants and benches, and from the Lochaber Enterprise  We bought and planted 500 shrubs and trees here and we are grateful to Sarah and Alick Campbell for allowing us to store the plants at Bentalla until we got them all planted.

We got a donation of over 60 shrubs from Aird’s Bay nursery, Taynuilt.

We gave an order for benches and picnic tables to Alick but unfortunately he had a serious accident and these items are on hold until he is fit to make them.

Strimming and mowing is ongoing at the canal bank at both sides of the path. Dr. Sen got some thistle seeds from Vic and he has planted them.
