Caol Primary School
Caol in Bloom representatives met with Miss Cattanach (head teacher) and members of the Pupils’ Council early in the year.
The pupils produced a very impressive Power point presentation of their ideas on what they would like to see in their playground – seating, wild flower garden, vegetable garden, a greenhouse, flower tubs and a windbreak at the perimeter fence.
Ten large planters, donated by Mr Ross of the Ben Nevis Distillery were planted with annuals.
Picnic benches made by a parent were placed in suitable sites around the play ground and volunteers built a large raised bed at the main entrance of the school.
The school gardeners planted the bed, hanging baskets and planters before their summer break.
