Caol Regeneration Site

Caol is the largest village in the Highlands of Scotland, with a population of 3240.

Primarily a residential village with high proportion of public housing developed near Fort William. Most of the amenities and services are situated in Fort William. Over the years the village has suffered from increasing vandalism, dog fouling and general lack of pride in the community.Linnhe

The village has a great potential as part of the Caledonian Canal, the start of Neptunes Stair case, the waterfront with grand view of Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil with a backdrop of Ben Nevis represent a fine natural amenity.

Caol In Bloom was formed in early 1999.

BedSince then it has benefited from the participation of not only community volunteers but also representatives of the local authority, local Councillor, Caol Community Council, local Police, Schools and other commercial and voluntary organisations. The group is properly constituted and has been registered as a Scottish Charity.
